Talk to a CounsellorAviation JEE was established to create a unified, merit-based national entrance pathway for aviation education in India. It is conducted annually by the Aviation JEE Organising Body and is recognised by top DGCA, AICTE, and UGC-affiliated aviation institutes across the country.
Aviation JEE 2026 is conducted in both online (Computer Based Test) and offline (pen-and-paper) modes, depending on the exam centre selected during registration. Candidates can indicate their preferred mode while filling the application form.
The Aviation JEE 2026 syllabus is based on Class 10th and 12th standard topics. It broadly covers:
• Physics: Mechanics, Optics, Electricity, Magnetism, Modern Physics
• Chemistry: Basic Concepts, Chemical Bonding, Periodic Table, Organic Chemistry
• Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus
• General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Aviation Awareness, Science & Technology
Detailed chapter-wise syllabus is available on the official website.
Aviation JEE follows an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format:
• Total Questions: 100
• Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, General Knowledge
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Marks per correct answer: +4
• Negative Marking: None (0 marks for wrong/unattempted answers)
The no-negative-marking policy makes Aviation JEE student-friendly and encourages attempts.
The Aviation JEE 2026 question paper is available in English and Hindi. Candidates can select their preferred language at the time of application. For course-specific programs that require English proficiency (like DGCA AME), English is strongly recommended.
Aviation JEE 2026 has exam centres across 80+ cities in India, covering all major states and Union Territories. Candidates select their preferred city during registration. Centre allotment is done on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is advisable. The allotted centre is mentioned on the admit card.
Yes. Students from any stream — Science (PCM/PCB), Commerce, or Arts — can apply for Aviation JEE 2026. However, course eligibility differs:
• PCM students: Eligible for all courses including AME (DGCA), Aeronautical, Aerospace, CPL, BBA, Cabin Crew, Ground Staff
• PCB / Commerce / Arts students: Eligible for BBA in Aviation, Cabin Crew, Airport Management, and Airport Ground Staff
Candidates should check individual course eligibility before selecting a course preference.
There is no minimum percentage cut-off to appear for Aviation JEE 2026. Any student who has passed or is appearing in Class 12 (any stream) can register and sit for the exam. However, individual institutes may set their own minimum percentage criteria for final admission after the merit list is published.
The general age requirement for Aviation JEE 2026 is as follows:
• Minimum age: 16 years as on the date of exam
• Maximum age: 28 years for most courses
• For DGCA AME License programs: Maximum age is 25 years at the time of starting the course
• For EASA AME: No strict upper age limit in most cases
Age relaxation of 3–5 years is provided for SC/ST/OBC and Defence categories as per norms.
Yes. Students who have passed Class 10th can apply specifically for EASA AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering under European Aviation Safety Agency) programs. This makes Aviation JEE one of the most inclusive aviation exams in India, allowing students to begin their aviation journey right after secondary school.
Yes. Students who are currently in Class 12 and awaiting their board examination results can apply and appear for Aviation JEE 2026. They will be treated as "Appearing" candidates. Provisional admission may be offered subject to them fulfilling the eligibility criteria when results are declared.
The scholarship slab is determined entirely by your All India Rank (AIR) in Aviation JEE 2026. The higher your rank, the greater the scholarship on tuition fees. Toppers of Central/State Boards and AIR 1–3 holders are entitled to a 100% scholarship, while all qualified candidates receive a minimum 10% scholarship.
The Aviation JEE merit-based scholarship applies to all courses offered through the exam — including AME (DGCA, EASA, UGC), Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, BBA in Aviation, B.Sc. in AME, Cabin Crew, Airport Management, and Ground Staff programs. The scholarship percentage depends on AIR and the participating institute.
The Aviation JEE scholarship is awarded on the tuition fees of the first semester. It is a one-time merit-based scholarship. Subsequent semester fee structures are governed by the individual participating institute. Some institutes may offer additional merit scholarships for continued academic excellence.
No. The Aviation JEE scholarship specifically covers tuition fees only. Hostel charges, mess fees, library fees, uniform costs, examination fees, and other miscellaneous charges are not covered under the scholarship and are to be borne by the student directly.
The scholarship amount is disbursed at the time of admission after the student has selected a participating institute. It is directly adjusted against the first-semester tuition fee invoice, so the student pays only the remaining balance. No separate bank transfer is involved.
To claim the scholarship, candidates need to submit the following at the time of admission:
• Aviation JEE 2026 Rank Card / Merit Certificate
• Class 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Category certificate (if applying for SC/ST/OBC/Defence relaxation)
• Board Topper Certificate (if applicable for 100% scholarship)
• Admission fee receipt (for verification)
All three are Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programs but differ in their regulatory body and scope:
• AME (DGCA): A 3-year license course regulated by India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Valid for maintaining Indian-registered aircraft.
• AME (EASA): Regulated by European Union Aviation Safety Agency (Part-66). Globally recognised — allows working across Europe, Middle East, and international airlines.
• AME (UGC): A 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, recognised by the University Grants Commission. Combines technical AME knowledge with engineering principles.
Aviation JEE 2026 connects students with 50+ participating institutes across India. The total seat availability varies every year depending on institutional capacity. Historically, seats across all courses combined exceed 5,000 annually. Early application and a higher AIR significantly improve the chances of securing a seat at the preferred institute.
Yes. Candidates can update their course preference during the application window before the final submission deadline. Once the exam is conducted and the AIR is published, course allocation is made on the basis of AIR and seat availability. Candidates may also modify preferences during the counselling round if seats are available.
