Airport Management is a specialised vocational and professional program focused on the efficient planning, coordination, and operation of airport infrastructure and services. With India rapidly expanding its airport network under the UDAN scheme and private airport development projects, trained Airport Management professionals are in high demand. This course equips students with practical skills needed to manage terminal operations, passenger handling, ground services, cargo logistics, and safety compliance at modern airports.

Course Overview

The Airport Management program offered through Aviation JEE provides an intensive and practical curriculum covering all functional areas of a modern airport. Students learn about airside and landside operations, baggage reconciliation systems, departure control systems (DCS), passenger experience management, cargo handling, security screening, and emergency response procedures. The course is structured to give maximum hands-on exposure through simulations, airport visits, and industry internships with Airports Authority of India (AAI), GMR, GVK, Adani Airports, and other leading airport operators across India.

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed 10+2 from any recognised board (any stream)
• Age: 17 to 27 years at time of admission
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physically fit with no serious medical conditions
• Candidates from Science, Commerce, and Arts streams are all eligible
• Students appearing in 10+2 examinations can also apply

Course Duration & Structure

• Certificate Program: 6 months (theory + practical)
• Diploma Program: 12 months (with airport internship)
• Module 1 – Introduction to Civil Aviation & Airport Industry (4 weeks)
• Module 2 – Terminal & Airside Operations Management (5 weeks)
• Module 3 – Passenger & Ground Handling Services (5 weeks)
• Module 4 – Airport Security, Safety & Regulatory Compliance (4 weeks)
• Module 5 – Cargo, Logistics & Ramp Operations (4 weeks)
• Module 6 – Airport IT Systems, DCS & Communication Tools (4 weeks)
• Module 7 – Internship at AAI or private airport operators (8 weeks)
